CIRCADIAN RHYTHM AND SLEEP
Circadian rhythms are biological cycles that last approximately 24 hours and regulate numerous physiological processes in our body. From the balance of metabolism to hormone secretion, to the sleep-wake cycle, these rhythms are synchronized mainly with sunlight.
During the day, light stimulates vital functions and activates alertness, while at night it promotes relaxation and the onset of sleep, creating the ideal environment for the body to rest and regenerate.
Sleep is, in fact, essential for our general well-being and, in particular, for the health of our skin. During the night's rest, the body regenerates: the brain consolidates information, the immune system is strengthened and the tissues, including the skin, are repaired and renewed.
Quality sleep allows the skin to carry out its own regeneration processes, keeping it elastic, luminous and able to combat the signs of aging.
Understanding and respecting circadian rhythms means offering the body and skin the ideal conditions to regenerate and function at their best, contributing to long-lasting beauty and well-being.
